LAKKI MARWAT, March 7: The district development committee approved On Tuesday a number of uplift schemes to be executed at cost of Rs30 million. The committee met here with DCO Kifayatullah Khan in the chair.

A number of development works under the Tameer-i-Sarhad programme, district annual development programme and provincial annual development programme were discussed in the DDC meeting.

The committee formally approved Rs5.5 million schemes under Tameer-i-Sarhad programme, Rs9.5 million under the district annual developmental programme and Rs15 million under the provincial annual developmental programme.

Assistant Coordination Officer Syed Khalid Israr Shah, District Collector Malik Damsaz Khan Marwat, EDO Finance and Planning Naimatullah Khan and other officials concerned attended the meeting.

DCO Kifayatullah Khan urged the officials of the line departments to do their work honestly.

He directed the authorities concerned to ensure proper monitoring of the quality of work on the developmental schemes so that these could be made sustainable and useful.
