KARACHI, March 4: Two ships carrying containers and diesel oil were berthed at QICT and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday. Berth occupancy stood at 67 per cent as six ships, Ville de Mars, Keefan, Shekou Sea, Bulk Sea Hawak, Yanaseni and Hua Shan Hai, were busy in loading and unloading containers, diesel oil, seeds, wheat, chemicals, and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 76,992 tons comprising 68,441 tons of import cargo and 8,551 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailing was active as Ville de Mars, Hau Shan Hai and Yanaseni left the port while Keefan was due to depart. Six ships carrying cheimicals, diesel oil, rice and wheat were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
