KARACHI, March 2: All educational institutions up to university level, both in public and private sector, throughout the province will observe a holiday on March 3, the Sindh government announced this on Thursday.

Various political partiers and transporters have given a call for strike on March 3 against the publication of blasphemous cartoons in Western newspapers. The decision to keep schools, colleges and universities closed on Friday was taken in view of the inconvenience that may be caused to students during the day of strike and protests, said a government official. The decision would be applicable to all public and private educational institutions in the province, said an official.
