DDO comes under fire

VEHARI, March 1: The Vehari district council on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution against DDO (revenue) Azfar Zia for levelling baseless allegation against nazim Syed Shahid Mehdi.

The house criticised the DDO for registering cases against two union council nazims Hamayun Shakil Cheema and Mushtaq Awan under anti-terrorism laws.

The council meeting was held on the requisition of a few members. The resolution was tabled by Khalid Dogar against the DDO. It also demanded registration of a counter case against the DDO.

District nazim Mehdi claimed that his political rivals were involved in the game against him.
