HYDERABAD, March 1: District Naib Nazim Zafar Rajput has directed district government departments and organizations concerned to ensure integrated development works to avoid damaging other installations and inconvenience to people.

He said this during a surprise visit of various ongoing development works following public complaints that works of one organization were causing damage to installations of other services, putting people in difficulties.

The naib nazim inspected the work on a road from the Qadir Laboratory in Latifabad-7 to the Aqsa mosque where services of water supply and sewerage had been affected due to other development works.

Mr Rajput directed the officer concerned to restore the services on a war footing and ensure that lines of the services were not interlinked with each other.

He directed officers of nation building departments and the Hyderabad Development Authority to coordinate with each other and chalk out a plan to avoid further damage to infrastructure.

He asked the Water and Sanitation Agency to identify leakages in water supply and sewerage lines and replace the same immediately to ensure supply of safe drinking water to people.

The naib nazim asked the management of the works and communication department and its contractors to apply escalators and other digging machineries in consultation with other public utility departments so that installations of these organizations could be protected.
