Voice, data technology

KARACHI, March 1: Telecard is providing voice and data connectivity for the National Education Database Pakistan (NEDP) project using wireless local loop technology.

This project envisions connecting over 175,000 schools currently in the Pakistan government school system over a period of five years, says a press release. This was stated by Group CEO Telecard, Fazal Hussain at a briefing on Wednesday. He said the company could assist educational institutions as well as hospitals to become internet enabled, and the new special business unit (SBU) was also working towards that end by engaging with various organizations as well as the government.
