NAPIER (New Zealand), Feb 28: Batsman Ross Taylor is set to make his debut for New Zealand in their One-day International against the West Indies on Wednesday as they attempt to extend their unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
Skipper Stephen Fleming indicated that Taylor, 21, who has scored three centuries and averaged 67 runs an innings in domestic first class one-day matches this season, was set to play his first international. “We can see his talents and all hope he can make the next step up. We certainly don’t see why not,” Fleming said on Tuesday.—AFP
