KARACHI, Feb 28: A youth was shot dead allegedly by his brother-in-law over a family dispute in New Karachi on Tuesday. Police said Mir Bux divorced Halima sometime back but their case was pending in a court. Halima’s brother Mohammad Akram, 24, had been supporting his sister in the case. This angered Mir Bux and he along with Khan Mohammad knocked at the door of Akram in Sector 5-G, New Karachi. As soon as Akram opened the door, Mir Bux allegedly shot at him.
Family members of Akram took him to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The body was handed over to the victim’s family after autopsy.
