Tea auction
CHITTAGONG, Feb 28: The average price of Bangladesh teas fell 4.46pc to 68.33 taka ($1.0) per kg on poor quality at a weekly auction on Tuesday, brokers said. “Nearly 800,909 kg were sold at average price of 68.33 taka per kg, down 3.19 taka from the last sale. The withdrawal percentage was 52.70, the highest for the season,” said an auctioneer. Different grades were sold between 30 taka and 115 taka per kg.—Reuters
