KARACHI, Feb 28: Three ships carrying containers, carbon oil and wheat were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday. Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and wheat also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy rose to 78 per cent as seven ships, Sealand Freedom, Lissy Schulte, Docomo, Amanat, Fair Spirit, Bulk Sea Hawk and Alam Pinter, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, diesel oil, carbon oil, wheat and coke.

A cargo volume of 78,691 tons comprising 69,256 tons of import and 9,435 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailing was active as Lissy Schulte, Anette Kosan, Fair Spirit and Alam Pinter left the port.

Eight ships, Gulf Horizon, Aurora, Shekou Sea, Tai King, Multan, Banglar, Hua Shan Hai and Giovanni Dellia, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
