Poll for Senate’s Fata seats on March 10

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 27: The Election Commission announced on Monday that polling for Senate seats from the federal capital and Federally-Administered Tribal Areas will be held on March 1.

Secretary Election Commission Kanwar Mohammad Dilshad told reporters that previously the polling was to be held on March 4.

Apparently the date has been changed in view of the upcoming visit of US President George Bush.

Meanwhile, the date of polling for elections to the Senate in the four provinces remains unchanged March 6, 2006 as notified earlier by the commission.
