KARACHI, Feb 27: Eight ships carrying steel coils, bitumen and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Morning Glory, Sagamore, Ever Gather and Selcon, were berthed after the departure of 10.

The departing ships were led by Corin Thaikos, Wan Hai-312, Sagamor, PONL Buenos Aires, Dingxianghal, Altius, Han Zhong Men, Win Eagle, Multan and Morning Glory, while Ever Gather, Selcon, Orient Independence, Song Yun He are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.116m tons comprising 27,486 tons of export cargo and 88,296 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Poppy, with crude oil, Satha Bhun, APL Pusan, Kota Tabah, Thor Captain and Kota Wangi, with containers, Asphalt Merchant, with bitumen, and Thor Nautilus, with steel coils.
