RAWALPINDI, Feb 26: A man and his wife were shot dead in their house in Rahim Town, Sadiqabad, in the wee hours of Sunday, police said.

Mohammad Sharif, the elder brother of the deceased, told the police that he was living with his brother’s family in a double storey house in Sadiqabad. Last night, his brother Mohammad Hanif, who had come to Pakistan from England 15 days ago, went to bed around midnight.

The complainant said hardly he had gone into his bedroom when he heard gunshots from his brother’s room. “On hearing the gunshots, my son rushed to his uncle’s room and found it locked from the outside. After the room was forcibly opened, he found Hanif and his wife Shahnaz dipped in a pool of blood on their beds,” the complainant said. He said he had seen a man who covered himself with a sheet going out of the house. — Staff Reporter
