KARACHI, Feb 25: Veteran Sohail K. Rana and youngster Gufran Ahmed Ghani secured senior’s and junior’s title in the Sindh golf championship on Saturday at the Karachi Golf Club.

Sohail won by six strokes to finish the three rounds with a total aggregate of 155 points in the seniors’ category. He was followed by Sohail K Siddiqui with an aggregate of 161. Rehan Mirza stood third while Zahir A. Chaudhry was fourth.

Ghufran leader on the final day of two-day juniors event clinched the title. He followed a first round card of 81 with 80 to beat his nearest opponent - Haris Javed - by four strokes.

Haris showed his class by following his first day’s 87 with a second round score of 78 but was unable to catch Ghufran.

The first day leader in amateur event, Waseem Rana failed to maintain the good form of the first round. He followed his opening day card of 71 with an unimpressive second round outing of 79.
