LAHORE, Feb 25: Three-year-old bay colt, River Dancer, who was beaten in his three previous outings, should make amends and win the Ghazali Cup run over 1,300m at the Racecourse on Sunday.

This colt from Re Play out-of-Friends Not Masters, River Dancer was thrice unlucky to be defeated consecutively.

Last Sunday he was defeated by Motivator in the Bin Qasim Cup run over 1,200m. Now it seems is his time to click.

His main rivals could be Mera Chandiwala, Tan Man Dhan and Well Minister in the same order. Featuring a tiny card of six events, Ghazali Cup is a class five division I handicap race and the fifth in racing order.

In all, there are 13 contenders barring last-minute withdrawals.

The opener has eight runners. Of them two chance ones, namely, Royal Power and Royal Palace, belong to the same owner and any of the two can win.

Royal Cannon, Billoo The Great and Wah Bhai Wah are the pick of nine runners drawn for the second race. If on job they should fight it out in the same order.

Magic Mirror, Hellow Dancer and Cross Ruff look good to finish in the same order in the third race. Bosra Sham is capable of upsetting all calculations.

Love Moon and Thinkable should fight for the top honours among a dozen runners handicapped in the fourth race, if there are no last-minute withdrawals.

The distance goes in favour of the former. The sixth and the last race has nine acceptors.

They have not been consistent performers. Any way the distance goes in favour of Royal Fish, who should have the better of Opening Partner and yet maiden, Late Arrival.

The first race will be held at 12:30pm.
