Jinnah Town Rs104m uplift plan

FAISALABAD, Feb 25: The Jinnah Town Municipal Administration approved a development plan of Rs104.3 million at a meeting held here with naib nazim Zulfiqar Sheikh in the chair on Saturday.

A number of members raised objections over the development scheme which were amended in the house and finally 123 schemes of pavements of streets, construction of roads, boundary walls for graveyards and parks, beautification of gardens and green belts were approved.

The house, on another agenda item, allowed the chair to depute three officials of the town as ‘Enforcement Inspectors’ for the implementation of rules and regulations of the Punjab Local Government Ordinance, 2005.

On another agenda item, the house adopted a resolution asking the district government to hand over the solid waste management to town councils. The house also approved a resolution to provide proprietary rights to all the katchi abadis of the town.
