NAWABSHAH, Feb 25: The director-general of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, Maj-Gen Javed Zia, has said law-enforcement agencies have curbed terrorist activities and the law and order situation in the province has improved.

He was talking to journalists after inaugurating a Rangers filling station on the Qazi Ahmad link road on Saturday.

He said security forces were performing their duties well, adding that the death sentence to the accused in the corps commander convoy attack case was a success of intelligence agencies.

He said people had the right to protest against publication of blasphemous cartoons. He said violence had not occurred in Sindh during protests which was again a success of LEAs, adding that the incident of Sukkur was due to some other reason.
