QUETTA, Feb 25: A six-year-old girl was injured when a rocket hit a house in Sangsilla area of Dera Bugti district on Saturday. According to reports received here, armed tribesmen and security forces exchanged fire in different areas.
Reports said Bugti tribesmen attacked a checkpost of FC in Sangsilla area during which a rocket missed its target and hit the roof of a house in a nearby village, in injuring the girl, Salima.
The tribesmen also fired rocket at a checkpost in Margat coalmine area near Mach. However, no casualty was reported.
Meanwhile, district Nazim Dera Bugti Mohammad Kazim Bugti has said that security forces suffered human loss on Saturday when armed tribesmen attacked the force in Loti and Pir Koh gas field area.
He said that at least two FC men were killed. However, official sources did not confirm any casualty.
Mr Kazim told Dawn over telephone from Dera Bugti that despite migration of around 80 per cent people the security forces were continuously shelling different areas of the township.
“They are targeting residence and guest house of Nawab Bugti to destroy them completely,” Kazim Bugti alleged and demanded of human rights organisations to take notice of this situation.
He said that people were struggling for their legitimate rights and government calling them terrorist and miscreants that was a great injustice with the people of Balochistan.
ACCIDENT: Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and tractor trolley, some 180km from here near Sibi, on Saturday.
The bus was on its way to Methaery from Sibi and when it reach Kolachi it collided with a tractor trolley coming from Opposite. As a result five people identified as Zahid Hussain, Mohammad Akhtar, Master Karim Bakhsh, Habibullah and Asadullah died on the spot. Ten persons including driver of trolley were seriously injured. They were shifted to civil hospital Sibi.
ENCOUNTER: An outlaw was killed and four people including two personnel of Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) were injured in an encounter in Panjgur area. Two accomplices of the bandit were also injured in the exchange of firing.
The police and ATF had raided a hideout of outlaws in Panjgur area, where they faced resistance resulting into encounter.
Meanwhile, Frontier Corps also seized huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition from the hideout of miscreants in Talar area of Gwadar district.
The cache includes 436 rockets, one rocket launcher, two machine guns, a China made automatic rifle, one AK-47 rifle and several thousands of bullets.
Weapons seized were dumped in the mountainous hideout. However, no person could be arrested in this regard.
