Woman, three children kidnapped

MARDAN, Feb 25: A woman and her three children was allegedly kidnapped from the Farm Koroona area in Hoti on Friday. Najib, husband of the woman, lodged an FIR with Hoti police against his neighbour Imran.

He told police that his wife and three sons were kidnapped by Imran, resident of the same locality. The motive behind the kidnapping could not be ascertained.

In another incident, the body of a young boy was found in a stream in the Katlang area on Friday.

The mother of the boy, Alam Khan, lodged an FIR with Katlang police against one Lalzada and his three accomplices.

She told police that the four accused had come to her house and they took along Alam Khan. She said that some time later the area people informed her that the body of her son was lying in a stream.

TWO KILLED IN ENCOUNTERS: Two alleged outlaws were killed in an encounter, while two policemen were injured in different incidents here on Thursday.

One Asif Khan was killed in police firing after he opened fire on a police party near Chakaro Pull.

An alleged gangster, Noor Taj, was killed in an encounter after he reportedly opened fire on a patrol party of the Sheikh Maltoon Town police.

Constables Laiq Shah and Yunis Khan received bullet injuries.
