KARACHI, Feb 25: Three ships carrying containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Another eight vessels including two ships to load 30,000 tons of the rice are expected to arrive on Monday.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where four ships, Long An to unload sugar, Wan Hai-213, Ponl Buenos Aires to unload and load containers and Altius to load naphtha were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Johar, Lilac, Kota Tampan, Eax Sanctity, Aandresew Swala, Ocean Wisdom, Kimon-A and Persian departed, while Dingxi Anghai, Altius, Han Zhong Men PONL Buenos Aires, Corin Thaikos, Multan and Win Eagle are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.112m tons comprising 37,027 tons of export cargo including 3,826 tons of rice and 1,306 tons of cement and 74,920 tons of export cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Barge Sapta-1, to load cement, Ever Gather and Seloon to unload and load containers.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Poppy, Kota Mesra, Song Yun He, Sinar Bontang, with containers, Poppy, with crude oil, Eber and Monique, to load 16,000 and 14,200 tons of rice, Larymna and Sea Brilliance, with steel billets.
