Raja Shahid alias Kaloo, Raja Ezrum, the uncle of Mr Shahid, and another relative, Sardar Muhammad Asghar, were going home in a car when Raja Kamran alias Kami, sitting in a car allegedly ambushed them. As a result, Raja Shahid was killed on the spot, while Raja Ezrum, Sardar Asghar and a passer-by were injured in the attack.
