KARACHI, Feb 24: A suspect was wounded in a shootout with police in Taimuria on Friday night. Police said a couple was intercepted in Sector 15-A by two armed suspects on a motorcycle. The armed men deprived the couple of gold bangles and a cellphone and sped away.
As the couple raised a hue and cry, two policemen patrolling on a motorcycle opened fire on suspects, wounding one of the suspects. His accomplice managed to flee from the spot. Police recovered the bangles and cell-phone from the possession of the wounded suspect.
A loaded TT pistol was also recovered from his possession, SHO Taimuria Imtiaz Panday said.
