Faheem, Adil triumph

PESHAWAR, Feb 23: Faheem Gul, Adil Khan, Mansoor Jan and Fazil Mehmood took berths in the main round of the Under-13 category after securing victories in qualifying round of the second PSB Squash Open being played at PSB Squash Courts on Thursday.

Besides Under-13 category, four players each from Under-15 and Under-17 have also moved in the main round to be starting from Friday.

Mohammad Waqar, Zubair Jan, Shakeel Khan and Walid qaulified for the main round while in the Under-17 category the four qualifiers Ayaz Khan, Muqadir Shah, Sanaullah Khan and Jibran Khan registered one-sided victories in the best of three games.

Results:

Under-13: Faheem bt Waheed Khan 9-3, 9-4; Adil bt Shoaib Habib 4-9, 9-7 and 9-7; Mansoor bt Iqtidar Ali 4-9, 9-1, 9-1; Fazil Mehmood bt Arbab Ayaz 9-0, 6-9, 9-7.

Under 15: Muhammad Waqar bt Mohsin 9-6, 94; Zubair bt Salman 9-4, 6-9, 9-7; Shakeel Khan bt Wahid Khan 5-9, 9-5, 9-4; Walid bt Muhammad Khan 7-9, 9-5, 9-5.

Under-17: Ayaz Khan bt M.Ahmed Khan 5-9, 9-4, 9-7; Muqadir Shah bt Amin 9-0,9-7; Sanaullah bt Muhammad Ayaz 9-4, 9-4; Jibran Norani bt Khalid Khan 9-4 and 9-7.
