DHAKA, Feb 23: The government of Bangladesh has decided to discontinue telegraph and telex services. “We will discontinue telegraph and telex services from March 31 this year,” an official of the Telegraph and Telephone Board said.
“In many countries, the service has been withdrawn because of its low use,” the official said. “The telegraph service has become obsolete and spare parts are not available to repair the machines.”
