Sri Lanka tour schedule announced


KARACHI, Feb 22: Pakistan will play two Tests and three One-day Internationals during next month’s tour of Sri Lanka, the Pakistan Cricket Board said on Wednesday.

Pakistan will start the tour with the first One-day International at the SSC Ground in Colombo on March 17.

The remaining two one-dayers will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on March 19 and 21.

The first Test is scheduled for Colombo from March 24-28 and the second in Kandy from April 1-5.

Pakistan are also due to play two One-day Internationals against arch-rivals India in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on April 18 and 19 to raise funds for victims of last year’s earthquake in the sub-continent.

Pakistan will play four Tests and five One-day Internationals on their tour of England starting from late June this year.

Sri Lanka tour schedule

March 17: First One-day International (Colombo).

March 19: Second One-day International (Colombo).

March 21: Third One-day International (Colombo).

March 24-28: First Test (Colombo).

April 1-5: Second Test (Kandy).—AFP
