Training camp

ISLAMABAD, Feb 22: A training camp for Islamabad women players began here on Wednesday ahead of next month’s PCB Inter-district cricket championship.

Twenty players chosen through trials underwent a full session of training at the Diamond Ground.

Camp commandant Rauf Mirza said that some of the players were quite talented among them Pakistan wicketkeeper Arman Khan. “The selected girls surely have the potential to win the regional round.”

Islamabad play their opening match against Peshawar on March 3.

The camp training continues till March 2 under the supervision of Farrukh Naz, chief organiser of Islamabad Cricket Association’s women’s wing.
