KARACHI: PML party polls by August

KARACHI, Feb 22: The President of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Sindh’s Labour Wing, Muhammad Arif Hasan, said that according to the decision of the PML Chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the process of party elections would be completed by Aug 14 this year.

In this connection, computerised lists of all party members would be kept in the party’s provincial offices after completion of the membership process, he said in a party meeting.

Hasan said Muslim League believed in democracy and that was the reason for holding internal elections from the lower level. He said the membership process in this regard was under way.

He promised to make efforts to provide jobs to party workers after the lifting of ban on employment.

Senior Provincial Vice President and Coordinator Syed Zulfiqar Shah, Additional Secretary General Mirza Nasir Baig, President of Karachi Office Matiur Rehman, Vice President Syed Irshad Ali, Rana Arshad Shahzad, General Secretary Iqbal Farooqui also addressed the meeting.—APP
