11 sentenced to death in Karachi attack case

KARACHI, Feb 21: Eleven activists of the banned Jundullah group were condemned to death in the corps commander convoy attack case by an anti-terrorism court, which also awarded them multiple terms of rigorous imprisonment for other charges.

Judge Feroze Mehmood Bhatti of the ATC-2 also sentenced the Jundullah men to life in jail for planting two bombs at the bridge. Their entire moveable and immovable properties were also ordered to be confiscated.

They were also handed down another 14-year term for injuring 10 people during the attack under Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Besides, the Jundullah men were also sentenced to a 10-year term for causing damage to the vehicles.
