Landmine blast kills three tribesmen

QUETTA, Feb 21: Three members of the Domki tribe were killed on Tuesday when a landmine exploded under a bullock-cart in Chattar area of Nasirabad district, an official said here.

“All the three persons died on the spot,” provincial government spokesman Raziq Bugti said.

The bodies of the victims were mutilated. The bullock-cart was completely destroyed and the animal pulling it was killed.

The three men were on their way to Phuleji from Lahri. When their bullock-cart reached Chattar area a landmine planted there exploded.

The names of the victims could not be ascertained till our going to the press.

GAS PIPELINE: Armed tribesmen blew up a pipeline supplying gas to Dera Bugti township, an official said on Tuesday. After the explosion the pipeline caught fire and the concerned authorities immediately suspended the supply of gas to the pipeline, he said.

ROCKETS: Armed men fired rockets at several checkposts of the Frontier Corps in Ghori Nullah, Kahan and Tali areas. An official said that a dozen rockets had been fired at the checkposts but added that no casualty was reported in any of the attacks.
