KANDAHAR, Feb 21: Suspected Taliban have set ablaze a school in southern Afghanistan, an official said on Tuesday. Armed men stormed into the school in Helmand province late on Monday and set fire to classrooms, burning chairs, desks and studying materials, provincial Education Director Haji Mohammad Qasim told AFP.
“Three of the classrooms were destroyed,” Mr Qasim said. He blamed the attack on ‘enemies of Afghanistan’.—AFP
