Mahlaqa grabs four wickets

LAHORE, Feb 21: Three matches were decided on the first day of the Lahore Inter-district women’s cricket championship at different grounds on Tuesday. Four wickets by Mahlaqa for 15 runs helped Garrison College beat Islamia College by nine wickets at Garrison Academy ground.

Four wickets by Mubashira Maneka and 77 extras steered Bloomfield School to a 60-run win over Salamat ICAS at the LCCA ground.

Three wickets grabbed by Yasira Munir enabled Wahdat Road College to earn 10-wicket win over Oriental College at G.C ground.

Summarised scores:

ISLAMIA 69, all out, 16.3 overs (Rabia Fardous 23, Qaisra Raheel 17; Mahlaqa 4-15, Ambreen 2-25).

GARRISON 70 for one, 11 overs (Razia Malik 30, Rabia not out 11).

BLOOMFIELD 122, all out, 19.3 overs (Mahnoor Maneka 22, Extras 77).

SALAMAT 62, all out, 15.1 overs (Khadija Mansoor 16, Amna Ihsan 10; Mubashira Maneka 4-12, Natasha Mazari 3-16).

ORIENTAL 39 all out, 13.3 overs (Yasira Munir 3 for 6).

WAHDAT 43, no loss, 4 overs (Nayyab Hayat not out 17, Iffat Chanda not out 17).
