DHA cruise in last 8

KARACHI, Feb 21: DHA College on Tuesday became the first team to cruise into the semifinals of the Karachi Board Inter-collegiate girls’ throwball championship inflicting straight defeat on Government College 11-B North Karachi.

DHA was home 15-5, 15-7 in the first quarterfinal. In two earlier league matches, DHA first got the better of Government College No. 4 Korangi 15-2, 15-3, and then beat APWA College 15-9, 15-7.

PECHS College struggled to beat St. Joseph’s College 7-15, 15-12, 15-7 to advance into the last eight where they face Abdullah College on Wednesday. The latter made it to the quarterfinals beating Khatoon-e-Pakistan College 15-11, 15-9.

Sir Syed Girls College had already made it to the last eight where they are pitted against Aga Khan Higher Secondary College who notched up 15-2, 15-1 win against Government College Orangi Town, No 15.
