Indians to leave in two batches

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 19: The Indian cricketers were set to leave for home in two split groups. A majority of the squad, including skipper Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, coach Greg Chappell and the coaching staff, was scheduled to depart for Mumbai on Sunday night.

Six players — Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Mahendra Dhoni, Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina and R.P. Singh — and team’s media officer G.S. Walia are set to leave for Delhi.

Originally, the squad was to head home together but since there was no immediate connecting flight for Delhi, six of the players chose to change their travel plans and avoid the prospect of spending the early hours of Monday at Mumbai airport.
