KRC races cancelled
KARACHI, Feb 19: Race goers faced disappointment after reaching Karachi Racecourse on Sunday following cancellation of Gymkhana race meeting at the eleventh hour due to its clash with last ODI between Pakistan and India.
‘The decision pertaining to cancellation of races was taken at the last moment mainly due to cricket match,’ confirmed Ali Akber Shah Rashdi, deputy secretary, KRC, while citing reason for putting off the programme.
He said the races will now take place on Feb 22 adding that a new handicap will be issued on Tuesday.
