‘Cartoons Jewish conspiracy’

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 19: The publication of blasphemous cartoons in a Danish newspaper and their reproduction in some European countries is part of a conspiracy hatched by American and the Jewish lobby against Islam.

This was stated by Third World Solidarity chairman and British Labour Party Councillor Mushtaq Lashari at a press conference at the National Press Club here on Saturday.

He said the Muslim countries should forge unity under the umbrella of the Organization of Islamic Conference and take the cartoon issue to the world forum.

He said it was about time the Muslim countries improved their economic conditions and imparted modern scientific education to their youth to compete with the West.

He said he was visiting Pakistan and Azad Kashmir along with a six-member delegation of British parliament. The delegation, he added, would review the reconstruction work in the quake-hit areas besides preparing a report on the ongoing peace talks between Pakistan and India.
