Three killed in attack on jirga

ABBOTTABAD, Feb 19: Three men were killed and one suffered bullet injuries when a group of people opened fire on a jirga in the Mohar Kalan village on Sunday.

The jirga was held to resolve a road dispute between Satti clan and villagers of Mohar Kalan, about 10 km from here.

After exchange of hot words the group opened fire resulting in the death of three persons.

Mohammad Aslam, Wajid and Mohammad Saeed died on the spot, whereas Taskeen was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The attackers managed to escape.

An FIR was lodged against Gohar Khan, Maqbool-ur-Rehman, Tahir, Malik Dad and Khaliq Dad under section 302/324-34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
