KARACHI: Ordnance corps parade held

KARACHI, Feb 18: Major-General Syed Mohammad Owais, General Officer Commanding, has lauded the performance of Ordnance Corps and said that the officers and men of Ordnance Corps had set very high standard of professional excellence for which they should rightfully be proud of.

He was speaking at an attestation parade of the Ordnance Corps recruits at the Ordnance Centre here, says an ISPR press release on Saturday. Maj-Gen Owais called upon the passing out recruits to realize their responsibilities and continuously maintain and enhance heir professional skills which they had acquired during the training.

Earlier, Centre Commandant Brig Faiz Mohammad welcomed the chief guest on his arrival at the parade ground. A smartly turned out contingent of recruits presented him general salute.

He reviewed the parade and appreciated the scintillating display of high level coordination and excellent skills during the drill. Maj-Gen Owais also gave away awards to outstanding recruits.

Recruit (SMT) Sohail Gulfam, Recruit (GD) Atique and Recruit (GD) Tanzeel received trophies. A large number of officers, men and relatives of the passing out recruits attended the parade.—APP
