KARACHI: Visa facility at Karachi urged

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 18: Welcoming the resumption of Khokhrapar-Munabao train service, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has called for the restoration of Indian visa facility at Karachi.

In a statement, he congratulated the people of Sindh on this historic event, and recalled that MQM had all along been demanding restoration of the rail route, between the two countries, from Sindh.

The majority of traffic to India was from the southern province and yet passengers had to travel long distances via Lahore and Wahga. Mr Hussain said he, during his visit to India last year, had urged the Indian leadership to agree to meet the Sindh people’s genuine demand.
