6 troops injured in mine blast

WANA, Feb 17: Six troops were injured in a landmine explosion in South Waziristan Agency on Friday, officials said. The blast occurred near Tanai village when a military convoy, consisting of 20 vehicles, was going from Wana to Jandola.

Sources said that landmine exploded when a vehicle hit it. Six soldiers, belonging to the Punjab Regiment, were injured and the vehicle was destroyed. Two of the victims were stated to be in critical condition and were taken to a military hospital in Bannu by a helicopter.
