KARACHI: Bail granted

KARACHI, Feb 16: District and Session Judge Central Nisar Ahmed Sheikh on Thursday granted bail to a man in a case pertaining to death of a man in an accident.

Faizan Ahmed was arrested by police on charge of killing Ms. Rifat Jehan in a road accident in Sharifabad on Jan 6. His counsel Tariq Hamza Khan sought release of his client on bail as the case falls into Diyat and does not fall into propitiatory clause of Section 497 CrPC.

The court, after hearing the case, granted bail and ordered release of the applicant with a surety of Rs300,000.—PPI
