National Hard Court tourney from 27th

KARACHI, Feb 15: Top players of the country will take part in weeklong KC - National Hard Court tennis championship starting from Feb 27 at Karachi Club.

Subh-e-Nau, an environmental NGO would sponsor the Rs175,000 competition that would conclude on March 5, said Shahida Farooq on Wednesday.

Defending champion in men’s single event, Aqeel Khan will miss the tournament, as the national champion will be engaged in two ITF tournaments in India.

In Aqeel’s absence, Pakistan No2 Asim Shafiq and Nomi Qamar will be the pre-tournament favourites.—PPI
