WASHINGTON, Feb 15: Vice-President Dick Cheney, breaking his silence on a weekend hunting mishap, took full responsibility on Wednesday for shooting a friend but defended not disclosing the incident immediately.
“Ultimately, I’m the guy who pulled the trigger that fired the round,” the US vice-president told Fox News in his first public remarks on hitting Texas lawyer and developer Harry Whittington in the face, neck and chest with birdshot on Saturday. —AFP
