KARACHI, Feb 14: Eight ships carrying cars, containers and to load naptha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to the KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships were berthed. They are: CMA CGM Simba, Corin Thaikos, MOL Accord, Yang Jiang He and APL Cairo to unload and load containers, Nova to offload steel coils, Klam Pensorg to unload and load general cargo and Samho Heron to offload chemicals.

Four ships, Wadi Alrayan, Tai He, Dina Queen and Al Maha departed on Tuesday, while San Jiang, MOL Accord and Marina G R due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total cargo of 64,826 tons comprising 5,812 tons of export cargo and 59,014 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The ships due on Wednesday are: Venture Ace, with 140 cars, Gulf Coast, to load naptha, Bow De Feng, with chemicals, Kota Wangsa, Hyundai Advance, Kota Teraju, with containers, Bolan and Magway, with general cargo.
