Afridi unfit for last two ODIs

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Feb 13: All-rounder Shahid Afridi has been ruled out for the remaining two One-day matches against India due to pain in his right rib.

Afridi went through scanning soon after the third ODI at Qadhafi Stadium on Monday.

According to the medical report Afridi was recommended two weeks rest, meaning the all-rounder will not be available for the fourth match in Multan on Thursday and the fifth in Karachi on Sunday.

“There is no fracture in the rib but the pain will take two weeks,” a spokesman for the PCB said.

Pakistan is already without speedster Shoaib Akhtar now facing a monumental task in the next two ODIs.

The home team is presently 2-1 down in the five match ODI series.
