Three killed in wagon-bus collision

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 13: Three passengers were killed while 10 others sustained serious injuries in an accident near EMCO Tiles Colony on Sheikhupura Road, some 25kms from here on Monday.

The driver of a speeding wagon (LRT-9884), coming to Sheikhupura from Lahore, lost control over the steering after the vehicle took a sharp turn and hit the factory bus coming from the opposite direction. As a result, two wagon passengers — Asghar and Allah Ditta — died instantly while an unidentified man died at Mayo Hospital, Lahore. While 10 seriously injured passengers were admitted to Mayo Hospital. They were identified as Rafaqat Ali, Arif Nazeer, Asif, Ali Ahmed, Abdul Rehman, Farman Ali, Naeem, Nadeem, Abdul Hameed and Tanvir. Factory Area police are looking into the matter.
