KARACHI: Awards given to Lyarians

KARACHI, Feb 13: Best performance awards were given to students, singers, sportsman, artistes, educationists, writers, social workers of Lyari in recognition of their services in their respective field. at a function held here on Monday evening.

The function which is an annual feature of Schools Management Committee (Lyari-1) was largely attended by the prominent personalities of the locality besides educationalists and NGOs activists.

Schoolchildren enthralled the audience by presenting colourful tableau, national songs. The committee also announced a special award for Anwar Bhaijan, the slain leader of Baloch Ittehad Tehrik in recognition of his services for Lyari Town.
