ISLAMABAD, Feb 12: Thirty-three tons of warm clothes will reach here soon for distribution among the quake affected people of seven districts of Azad Kashmir and NWFP.
An official told Dawn that the clothes were collected under an initiative launched by a group of staffers of the International Labour Organization’s Geneva office for the Pakistani quake victims.
The clothing reached Karachi Port on Sunday from where the shipment would be transported to Islamabad. It will be delivered to the quake-hit areas through army helicopters, while the ILO office in Islamabad and the Pakistani Office for Humanitarian Assistance will ensure distribution to those most in need.—Our Reporter
