Squash: Mansoor promises good result

KARACHI, Feb 11: Pakistan number two Mansoor Zaman left for Kuala Lumpur on Friday promising to give a good performance in the Kuala Lumpur Open to be held in the Malaysian capital from Feb 13 to 18.

Mansoor, who is ranked No. 27 in the world, said that he would give his best in the US$30000 event as it was his aim to win the title in Kuala Lumpur. Mansoor is among four Pakistani players who would be featuring in the world ranking tournament.

Apart from lefthanded Mansoor, the other three Pakistanis who left for Kuala Lumpur to take part in the tournament include Aamir Atlas Khan, Khayal Muhammad and Arshad Iqbal Burki.

The Pakistani players were accompanied by Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Director Coaching Jamshed Gul.

Some of the world’s leading players are to take part in the Kuala Lumpur Open which is an annual event on the World Squash Tour calendar. —PPI
