LAHORE, Feb 11: A decisive goal by Azhar Ali in the extra chukker enabled Technimen to beat Punjab Rangers 7-6 in the final of the Nurpur Low Goal Polo on Saturday.

Rangers, who had a two-goal handicap, led the first chukker 4-1. Abdul Rehman and Amanat scored a goal each for the losers while Agha Murtaza Ali struck first for the winners.

Technimen reduced the lead 4-3 as Azhar scored back-to-back goals in the second chukker.

Rangers maintained the lead (5-4) in the third chukker too, as Abdul Rehman scored his second while Murtaza also pumped in his second goal for the winners.

Technimen managed to come ahead (6-5) for the first time in the fourth chukker when Azhar and Afzal Mahr scored a goal each. But Shayan Manzoor scored the equalizer in the dying minutes of the chukker to leave the result to the extra chukker.

Azhar scored the winner converting a 40-yard penalty hit.
