BSO factions unify

QUETTA, Feb 11: Three factions of the Baloch Students Organization merged to form a unified body after maintaining separate entities for 22 years.

The new BSO leadership announced they would support the people who, they said, were fighting for Baloch rights.

Speaking at a joint press conference here on Saturday, Amanullah Baloch, Asif Baloch and Dr Imdad Baloch announced the dissolution of their separate groups and said they would merge into a single organization in view of the critical situation confronted by the Baloch masses.

They said that despite their political division, the three BSO factions remained ideologically united. They said that their decision to unify the three factions stemmed from the realization that disunity was not an effective way to counter what they termed the state’s assault on the Baloch people.

They said that the BSO had been playing the role of a vanguard in the national struggle of the Baloch political movement.
